Terms of use
Effective September 12, 2026. This describes how Story Creator works. It is not a substitute for a lawyer's advice.
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Story Creator for use of this website. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Who may use it
You must be 18 or the age of majority in your place, or a parent or guardian using the app with your child. Children use Story Creator only through a profile you create. Google sign-in is for parents. Kid login (family code + PIN) is only for children in your family.
The service
Story Creator lets families write stories with optional AI help and optional paid PDF exports. Features can change. We may cap daily AI uses. Automated filters may block or flag text.
Your stories
You (or the child, as applicable) keep the rights in the story text you write. You give us a license to store it, show it to your signed-in family, generate illustrations you request, and produce PDFs you unlock. We do not run a public gallery. Do not post anyone else’s copyrighted work as if it were yours.
AI output can be wrong, repetitive, or odd. You are responsible for what you keep in the story. Do not put real addresses, full names of other children, or private school details in a story.
Payments
Writing and saving are free. Optional one-time unlocks (prices may change; current defaults are $2.99 for a text PDF and $6.99 for an illustrated storybook) are charged by Stripe. Unlock applies to that story. Illustrated unlock includes the ability to generate pictures; generating art spends AI resources and may take several minutes.
Digital unlocks are generally not refunded after you have downloaded a PDF or started illustration generation. If Stripe took payment and the story did not unlock, email us within 14 days and we will fix the unlock or refund. Chargebacks for stories you did unlock may lead to account limits.

Acceptable use
Do not use Story Creator to:
- create sexual, pornographic, or porn-adjacent content involving minors;
- harass, threaten, or bully;
- break the law or try to break into the service;
- scrape or overload the AI in a way that harms other families.
We may remove content, lock exports, or close accounts that violate this. Parents should review flagged stories in the Dashboard.
Kid logins
You are responsible for family codes and PINs. Treat them like a house key. Reset a login if it is shared too widely. Kids cannot make purchases; a parent account is required to pay.
Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is.” AI and hosting can fail. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for lost stories, failed generations, or indirect damages. Our liability for a paid unlock is limited to the amount you paid for that unlock.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms by posting a new date on this page. Continued use after that date means you accept the update.
